The customer’s IT lead: start with what you want first

Runs IT for an organisation with several sites — a clinic group, a firm, a municipality — usually with a small team and an MSP alongside. Wants one record of the estate without a months-long rollout.

An illustrative example: the IT manager of a regional health organisation with a head office, two hospitals and a dozen clinics, working with a healthcare MSP.
The questions they ask

What SurroundNet answers today

Marked plainly: what works today, and what is coming next.

Today

Where do we start?

On Get Started: your company, your head office, your one-, three- and five-year outlook, and what you want first. If you came through your MSP’s referral link, the request goes straight to them. Once approved, your administrator is invited and sets up two-factor sign-in.

Today

Do we have to type everything in?

No. You prepare with a pack of spreadsheet templates: sites and addresses, network ranges, people, teams, departments, assets, service levels, business services, owner groups and who supports what. Once you are onboarded, the templates download prefilled with what SurroundNet already knows, and uploading again updates rather than duplicates.

Today

How does our network get discovered?

You download one connector bundle per network zone. The connector enrols itself and scans from inside your network, sending results out over an encrypted outbound connection — no inbound firewall opening. Each device is placed at its site by the network ranges you declared.

Today

Which obligations apply to us?

They are worked out from your site addresses and your industry, with each control’s evidence and sign-off in one place.

Today

How do we work with our MSP?

You grant your MSP managed support. They work in your records with your consent, every action is logged, and you see the same record they do. Nobody works in a black box.

Today

What happens after set-up?

Implementation follows an agreed roadmap in increments — align, implement, assess, iterate — so you are never handed every option at once. Each increment brings the training for the people who use it.
